There is a “Color of the Year” from every paint company. Many of them taking inspiration from nature, they cover the spectrum from serene and warm to bold and bright. Benjamin Moore’s choice is a soft, silvery green called October Mist 1945. Krylon rolled out a color to represent “optimism, stability and balance” called Satin Rolling Surf, a bold teal that adds drama to any room.
Designers are making choices by blending styles that never cross paths in the past. Vintage with new, mixed metals and contrasting color are acceptable options in kitchen redesign. Amongst the bold and eclectic options, the clean and classic look of white, marble and handleless cabinetry are equally on trend.
According to RHD Plumbing Director of Remodeling, Kali Zingg, “There is one new trend that is consistent with Designers and Clients alike, organization. We’ve spent a lot of time in our homes recently. It increased our interest for a well organized kitchen.”
Chief Executive Officer, Dina Opsahl shared, “A well organized kitchen goes beyond additions to your shelving. It takes into consideration how you use your kitchen which impacts the full design from layout to finishes. Our client consultations have become even more in depth over the past three years. It’s been really fun to see the different solutions for each client.”
“The flexibility in design is wonderful. We can offer so many options for clients whether they are remodeling a Galley Kitchen, creating an Open Concept Kitchen or looking for the Dream Chef’s Kitchen,” offered Zingg.
